SPRING SPEGGTACULAR EGG HUNT

March | Moss-Wright Park

First Baptist Church Goodlettsville and Goodlettsville Parks and Recreation collaborate to organize the Spring SpEGGtacular Egg Hunt every year. This Easter egg scavenger hunt takes place throughout Moss-Wright Park. On the day of the event, head to Shelter 3 at Moss-Wright Park to collect your scavenger hunt card and have fun exploring the park in search of eggs. It’s a free family event that you wouldn’t want to miss! 


GOODDOG DOGGY EGG HUNT

March | Moss-Wright Park

Looking for a fun way to celebrate Easter with your furry friend? Come over to Fenway’s Dog Park! Your pups can hunt for treat-filled eggs, meet the Easter Bunny, and even get a pawsome photo opportunity! There will be local vendors to check out, and you can take a leisurely walk around the park with your pup. Don’t forget to dress up your K9 for this special occasion!


HERITAGE DAY

April | Mansker’s Station and the Bowen House


Step back in time and experience the 18th century at Heritage Day. This event offers guests the opportunity to witness skilled demonstrations and artisans, while also experiencinglife on the frontier. During the event, guests will have the chance to see, feel, and touch different historical trade skills such as blacksmithing, leatherworking, woodworking, fiber working, and cooking. TOUCH A TRUCK

June | Moss-Wright Park


Touch a Truck is a fun-filled and free event that is held at Moss-Wright Park. Kids of all ages can enjoy sitting in the driver’s seat of their favorite truck or vehicle, honking the horn, and turning the wheel. From fire trucks to dump trucks, police cruisers to cranes, all kinds of trucks will be on display for kids to touch, admire, and learn about.


FREE FORT FRIDAY

June | Mansker’s Station

Free Fort Friday is a great opportunity for kids of all ages to enjoy a free scavenger hunt while also participating in hands-on activities at the fort. This event goes well with Touch A Truck since both events take place at the same time on the same day, just a few steps apart at Moss-Wright Park. 


MUSIC ON MAIN

Select Thursdays in June, July, & August | City Hall

Music on Main is a summer concert series that takes place on the lawn at Goodlettsville City Hall on Thursdays in June, July, and August. The event features local artists’ music, and it is free for everyone to attend. The concert is family-friendly and has a designated kids’ zone, as well as various food trucks. It is recommended to bring your own lawn chairs or blankets to use for seating.


WATERFEST

June | Moss-Wright Park

Join us for a free family festival that celebrates our rivers and connects children to local waters. This event is hosted in collaboration with the Cumberland River Compact and offers a unique blend of education and fun. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the significance of water quality in our watershed through a range of engaging environmental activities suitable for the whole family. The Goodlettsville WaterFest will feature a dance party, waterslide, prizes, and many other fun activities.


INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

July 3 | Moss-Wright Park

The City of Goodlettsville will be celebrating Independence Day on July 3rd at Moss-Wright Park. The event will feature a Kids Zone with inflatables, games, and fireman’s foam. Families are encouraged to bring their own picnic blankets and chairs and enjoy food from one of the many vendors available before the fireworks display begins. The event will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display that is set to music.


ARTS, ANTIQUES AND MUSIC FESTIVAL

September | City Hall

This community event takes place on a September Saturday on the grounds of City Hall and along Main Street.  The event is free and family-friendly and features original art, antiques, live music, food trucks, handmade vendor market, antique appraisals on site, quilt show with judging, and kids' activities. 


GOODFEST IN THE PARK

October | Moss-Wright Park


This free outdoor event is fun for all ages and takes place throughout Moss-Wright Park. This popular fall event includes a marketplace area with artisan vendors, two food courts, inflatables, kids zone activity area, pumpkin patch, DJ and dancing, and much more!


CHRISTMAS PARADE

December | Main Street

A group of children in red and white outfits are marching down the street, waving and smiling. They are part of a parade and are accompanied by other children and adults. The children are wearing red and white dresses and are holding candy canes. The parade is taking place on a street with cars parked on the side.

The annual Christmas Parade is an event where the community gets together to celebrate the holiday season. The parade is held on the first Saturday of December and is free for spectators. It starts at the Delmas Long Community Center located at 200 Memorial Drive. Then it continues up Memorial Drive, takes a right turn onto Main Street and finally ends at the Goodlettsville Plaza on Rivergate Parkway.


TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY

December | City Hall

Kick-off the holiday season this year at the annual Tree Lighting Celebration. Located at Goodlettsville City Hall, participants will enjoy festive holiday music and witness the first official lighting of the brand-new Christmas Tree. Explore the grounds and check out the beautiful holiday lights and tiny houses on display at this free event for all ages. Hot chocolate and coffee will be available to purchase to help keep you warm and cozy during the festivities. Get ready to immerse yourself in the spirit of Christmas! 


SANTA’S HOLIDAY PARTY

December | Delmas Long Community Center

After the Tree Lighting Ceremony, all attendees are cordially invited to join Santa’s Holiday Party at the Delmas Long Community Center. The party is free and features a range of fun activities, including Christmas crafts, musical acts by local talent, dancing, and the opportunity to take pictures with Santa himself. Don’t miss out on this festive celebration!


CANDY CANE VILLAGE

December | City Hall

During the month of December, Candy Cane Village is displayed on the grounds of Goodlettsville City Hall. The village includes more than 20 sponsored houses that measure approximately 4’ x 4’ x 7’. The houses are decorated with various designs, including gingerbread houses, Frosty the Snowman, the Grinch, Santa Claus, Snoopy, and more, making it a surprise what you’ll see each year. 


YULEFEST

December | Mansker’s Station and the Bowen House


Yulefest has been a cherished part of the holiday tradition in Goodlettsville for over 35 years and kicks off the holiday season with musicians, storytellers, and demonstrators in the cabins of the fort and in the historic home. Visitors can take their time listening to the sounds of yesteryear as they tour the sites and take in the beauty of simple, natural decorations, refreshments, and unique shopping at the gift shop. •
